Financial Aid Policy 2010/2011

I. Tuition for Degree Programs for the 2010/2011 Academic Year:

Full Time MBA (September 2010 start)€20,400 / program
Executive MBA, Budapest (February 2011 start)€20,400 / program
Executive MBA, Bucharest (March 2011 start)€21,000 / program
International Executive MBA (IMM)€52,500 / program

II. CEU Business School Merit Awards (no Foundation involvement)

The tuition fee deductions under this point shall be deducted in each semester from the tuition fee payable for the given semester.

Full-Time MBA, Executive MBAamount / program
1.1. GMAT 700 or greater:€ 7,000
1.2. GMAT 650-699:€ 4,000
1.3. GMAT 600-649:€ 2,000
2.1. Work Experience 5+ years (for Full-time MBA applicants)€ 3,000
2.2. Work Experience 8+ (for Executive MBA applicants)€ 3,000
In order to qualify for a Merit Award in the MBA programs, the student must fulfill the terms of the award (including required exams) prior to the first day of class.

III. CEU Business School Tuition Fee Reductions (no Foundation involvement)

  1. Early applicants (Full-Time MBA): A total fee reduction of € 5,000 discounted from the full tuition fee in two equal installments for Full-Time MBA applicants, who send their full application dossier (together with acceptable GMAT and TOEFL scores) before April 1, 2010.
  2. NGO and Public Institution employee tuition fee reduction: 35%
  3. AmCham Scholarship: available annually to Executive MBA and International Executive MBA (IMM) students. More information can be found at www.ceubusiness.org.
  4. If an immediate family member is currently enrolled or is an alumni from a CEU Business School (or its legal predecessor, IMC) degree program: €1,000/program
  5. Corporate agreement discounts as agreed with individual corporate partners
  6. Partner/Exchange and Dual degree Universities (Freiberg & FIU) student and/or graduate discounts as identified in the bilateral agreements of the two institutions. (see separate partnership agreements)
  7. Admissions Deferral: If a student has been offered admittance in a previous academic year, but is unable to attend, his/her Tuition Fee Reduction can be carried forward for one year. The Tuition Fee Reduction will be applied to the tuition fee that is in place for the Intake cohort that the student will join. (This is subject to the approval of the Admissions Committee and with the confirmation of an unconditional offer and deposit payment by the student no later than 1 month before the desired postponed program start date.) (see Annex 1.3).
  8. CEU employees (see Annex 1.1): 50%
  9. CEU Business School employees (see Annex 1.2): 75%
  10. CEU Business School employee family members (see Annex 1.2): 25%
  11. Graduates from any CEU degree program /credit 35 %
  12. CEU Business School Alumni /credit 50%
  13. CEU applicants recommended to Business School tuition fee reduction: 25%

It is the applicant’s responsibility to notify the CEU Business School if they feel they are eligible for or entitled to any of the Tuition Fee Reductions listed above.

IV. Other Financial Incentives

“Pre-Interview On The Spot” Incentives

An incentive of €1,000 is available for MBA applicants, who are pre-interviewed by our recruiters at recruitment events around the world. The full application dossier must be submitted at the time of the pre-interview. The exact time and location of these events, where the ‘Pre-Interview On The Spot’ Incentive is available, will be announced in advance. In case of debate the recruiters testify that the applicant in question was pre-interviewed at the recruitment event. This reduction will be in addition to any other financial aid that the student receives and can only be applied once.

The financial aid opportunities under II., III. and IV. can be combined with each other, but the maximum available financial aid cannot be more than 50% of the program fee. (Except for point 9. under section III., where the 75% tuition fee reduction is the maximum.)

V. CEU Business School Foundation Grants and Scholarships

CEU Business School Foundation – a charitable Hungarian foundation – generally offers grants in varying amounts to a select number of enrolled graduate students to promote their theoretical and practical studies and research activities as well. The Board of Trustees of the Foundation evaluates grant applications based on its own published criteria when deciding on the allocation of the grants. The Foundation offers the following grants:

  3. Robert Oldham Memorial Scholarship

VI. International Executive MBA (IMM)

Information about Financial Aid opportunities for the International Executive MBA (IMM) can be found at www.ceubusiness.org as well as at www.mostinternationalmba.com .

The School evaluates all relevant criteria when deciding on the granting of the financial aid. Decision of the School shall not be subject to appeal.

The present CEU Business School Financial Aid Policy is subject to change at any point in time and without any prior notice!
