Bachelor of Science in Global Management
Overview of the BSc in Global Management
Globalization of markets, intense competition and the rise of technology make for an ever-changing, complex world, for businesses, government and non-profit organizations. One way to win in this sophisticated new economy is with a management education that enables you to approach problems in a creative, integrated manner.
The BSc in Global Management prepares you to become an effective problem solver for all types of organizations, by providing not only the fundamentals of business, but also by emphasizing general education courses in the humanities and social sciences.
This multidisciplinary approach gives you a broader-based skill set than the typical business or economics program, going beyond the development of analytical skills, to build your competencies in leadership, critical thinking, cultural awareness and ethics.
Another key feature of this program lays in the comparative analysis of managerial practices and business environments in the USA, Western Europe and in transition economies. This gives students a ‘greater world perspective’, and helps them prepare for the management challenges of the global economy.

Program Content
The BSc in International Management is a 120-credit undergraduate degree program, normally completed in four years. Applicants may be eligible for an accelerated program of study, permitting them to graduate in only three years (contact us for details at infoceubusiness.org or calling +36 1 887 5110).
In order to be conisdered for the accelerated study option, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must have at least 12 years of primary education.
- A minimum score of 600 in the Mathematics and the Critical Reading sections of the SAT Reasoning Test, submitted prior to the start of the program.
Upon successful completion of the program, candidates are awarded an American accredited Bachelor of Science in Global Management degree, registered (licensed) by the Board of Regents of the New York State Department of Education.
The first year of the program places a strong emphasis on building a common foundation. Topics include Critical Thinking, Communication skills, Research skills, and Workshops on Business English and Computer skills, as well as an introduction to core management areas such as Business Environment and Operations, Accounting & Finance, and Business Economics. There is also a broad range of elective courses such as Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology, Political Science, Environmental Science, and International Relations.
The second year of the program continues to build your core competencies in management, with introductions to Marketing, Financial Reporting, International Business, and Principles of Management, and Ethics (electives similar to those offered in the first year are also available).
In the third year, students begin to integrate many of the introductory management and general education courses from the first two years, with courses that deepen their understanding of the functional and strategic aspects of management. Main topics include Entrepreneurship & Innovation, IT Strategy and Legal Systems. Advanced general education electives are also offered, including European Integration, Sustaining Democracy, and Political and Economic Transformation.
The fourth year ties it all together, by focusing on Corporate Governance, Business Strategy and Global Management & Emerging Markets. During this final year, business electives enable you to obtain a Specialization in Marketing, Finance, or General Management. An innovative set of capstone courses during the final year allows students to conclude their studies by either conducting in-depth research into a management topic of their choice, or by engaging in a practical project designed to provide exposure to a company – often a leading foreign multinational. Students may also apply to study for a semester abroad at one of our North American or European partners.
Career Services
The Career Services Department provides students with professional strategies and support (career preparation tools) to develop job search skills, enhance networking opportunities and assist in the achievement of career placement goals. The Career Office is in continuous contact with Alumni in top positions who regularly network with the students and will assist with finding employment opportunities.
